Dinah and Bill have been in the Fort Smith area for 20 years. Dinah was from the area previously and chose this area because family is here and that’s important to us. We also knew being from a musical family, there would be opportunities in Fort Smith. Dinah’s father was "Opie Cates" and was musical director at NBC in Hollywood for several years. You may recognize the name "OPIE" as that was the name Ronnie Howard used on the Andy Griffith show. Of course, Opie gave his consent to use his name.

We love our church and have made life-long friends. We also have been proud members of the Fort Smith Choral for 19 years and enjoy sharing this wonderful music with the community. Dinah’s motto is: "NEVER LET MUSIC DIE IN ME!"
